We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive Learning Support Department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils with additional needs access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Job Details
Teaching Assistant
27 hours 10 minutes per week
08:50 - 15:05 including unpaid breaks
Fortnightly one hour after school meeting
5 days per week, term time only
(Full time preferred, but part time considered)
Grade 4 point 5 - £15,821.45 actual annual starting salary (for days and hours worked)
Start date: As soon as possible
11 - 16, mixed, NOR - 1250
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with additional learning needs to ensure full access to the curriculum
- Provide in class and out of class support for individual pupils or small groups, under the guidance of teaching staff and SENDCo
- Assist pupils with literacy and numeracy skills
- Clarify instructions and support pupils with recording information and completing homework
- Motivate pupils to remain on task and engaged in their learning
