Job Details
Salary: £15,523 - £15,766 for 27.5 hours per week, term time only
Contract Type: Fixed Term starting September to 21.7.2027
Working Pattern: 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday - Friday including lunch duty (with 30 minute lunch break)

Hassocks Infant School is seeking to appoint a temporary Learning Support Assistant for 27.5 hours per week (9.00am to 3.00pm) starting September 2026, term time only. The post will include lunch duty (with a 30-minute lunch break). Our School day is 8.50am to 3.00pm - LSA's work from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
- Offer 1:1 and small group support for individual children
- Support class teachers across the school to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
- Offer support at playtimes and lunchtimes
- Run focused interventions for identified children
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to be:
- Committed to providing high levels of support to pupils, on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and enjoy working with children
- Forward thinking, creative and able to make learning fun
- Able to work effectively with members of the school community, including parents
- Experienced in supporting children with a range of additional needs.
