About the Role
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bedminster, Bristol, supporting pupils within a specialist resource base for speech and language needs. This full time role begins in Term 6 (June) and offers a fantastic opportunity to support children with communication difficulties in a structured, nurturing environment, with a strong possibility of the role continuing into the next academic year.
- Support pupils with speech and language delays within a specialist resource base
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support communication and learning
- Use targeted strategies to develop speech, language and social interaction skills
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers and speech & language therapists
- Help create a structured, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Pay from £92.36
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting children with speech and language needs or SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Is patient, nurturing and a confident communicator
- Has a strong interest in supporting communication and language development
- Works well as part of a team and can follow structured support plans
- Is passionate about helping children build confidence and independence
