Position: Training Manager
Location: Bournemouth OR Gloucester
Working Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours per week
Gama Aviation is recruiting an experienced MRO Training Manager. This role can be based at our Bournemouth or Gloucester site. As the Training Manager you will adhere and uphold Part-147 regulations and hold a nominated Form 4 position for Gama Aviation Part-147 Training School. You will be responsible for planning, organising, leading, and supervising the Technical Training Department staff, ensuring that training targets are met and maintained in accordance with CAA/EASA Part-147 requirements.
You may be required to travel to other Gama locations to support business needs.
Responsibilities
- Act as the UK CAA/EASA Part-147 (Form 4) nominated person at Gama Aviation Technical Training.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the Training Department staff, programmes and resources.
- Carry out the duties of an aircraft technical training instructor and be qualified on type and within the company's EASA Part-147 approval.
- Produce and update all student training notes and presentations for the aircraft types.
- Evaluate technical training programmes to ensure they achieve organisational objectives and remain cost-effective to deliver.
- Carry out the annual training planning meeting and produce a training programme for the forthcoming year.
- Carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Part-147 Approved Examiner.
- Produce monthly KPI and progress reports as required by the business.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training and disseminate any new requirements appropriately to colleagues.
- Continuously improve and develop training material through awareness of new training advancements, technologies, best practice and changes within training and learning environments.
- Seek and engage with potential customers to generate revenue through the delivery of training courses.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required Essential
- 2 years of experience in a similar position and previous employment in a Part-147 environment.
- Knowledge of Learning and Development.
- Knowledge of CAA/EASA Part-147 / Part-66 regulations.
- Able to deliver training courses on Human Factors, EWIS, FTS and Recurrent Training.
- Excellent communication; verbal and written.
- Adaptable with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to cope with pressure and change.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Prepared to work away from base when required.
