Location: St Mary Magdalen RC School, Spring Street, Brighton, BN1 3EF.
Salary: £32,916 - £45,352 pro rata.
Hours: Part time (5 mornings) - Fixed Term (dependent on funding); Fixed term: One academic year; Start Date: September 2026.
Job Description
St. Mary Magdalen's is a lively, vibrant and successful Catholic Primary and Nursery School in the heart of Brighton, seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented part time SEND teacher from September 2026. The successful candidate will be an experienced and effective classroom practitioner able to teach across the 5-11 age range, demonstrate secure knowledge of the National Curriculum, and use specialist expertise in adaptive teaching, assessment and intervention to deliver high quality, inclusive education that enables all pupils-particularly those with SEND-to achieve their full potential, while upholding the school's Catholic ethos and contributing to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and care.
Responsibilities

- Builds excellent relationships with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Has energy, enthusiasm, and a flexible, creative approach to teaching and provision.
- Works collaboratively with the SENDCo, class teachers, and teaching assistants to plan and deliver learning within the Inclusion Intervention Space.
- Effectively delivers a bespoke curriculum for pupils with delayed learning and communication needs.
