Job Title: Maintenance Tutor

Location: Norton College, Tewkesbury, GL20 8UQ

Salary: £25,874 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.00pm

Contract: Permanent, Term time only

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Maintenance Tutor to join our amazing team at Norton College in Tewkesbury.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Tutor to join our team at Norton College in Tewkesbury. You will oversee and deliver Motor Maintenance or Construction Qualifications to our students and support our pupils to achieve these qualifications whilst having due regard and maintenance of health and safety with in the work space.

The post holder will ensure the maintenance area is set and managed effectively, ensuring that all relevant safety documentation (COSHH) and risk assessments are kept up to date as well as making sure that all tools are stored and used safely in line with health and safety measure.

To support our students you need to develop and maintain a positive relationship across the College, who have a variety of complex social, emotional and mental health needs including Autism to access and achieve in education across a range of academic, vocational and recreational activities.

Working closely with the Head of Pastoral Support to create and facilitate learning that engages students throughout the College day and closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure students are making appropriate progress through the qualification.

As Motor Maintenance/Construction Tutor you may be asked to take on additional duties or be deployed as requested by the Head of School or Pastoral Support Lead.

Essential:

Level 3 Construction/Maintenance or Higher or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Proven experience in Carpentry/ Brick Laying Skills or Motor Mechanic, Motor Technician Skills

Experience delivering in College/Apprenticeship Training

Multi Skills Highly desirable
