Your Role
Glenleigh Park Primary Academy is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice on a fixed term basis to continue inspiring young minds.
The nursery works closely with the main school and boasts great facilities both inside and outside. Aurora Academies Trust operates four nurseries in its schools in Bexhill and Eastbourne, all rated at least good by Ofsted.

Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential
- NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants, in Childcare or in Playwork, or equivalent essential
- Current first aid qualification (or willing to work towards) essential
Abilities, Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand and relate to essential
- Ability to demonstrate active listening skills essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals, both verbally, and in writing essential
- Ability to create and maintain high quality and accurate records essential
- Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure, whilst working to deadlines essential
- Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the nursery and school team essential
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner essential
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on all school matters essential
- Ability to create and maintain an appropriate environment which ensures the safety of all users of the school essential
Experience
- Experience of establishing positive relationships with children
- Experience of working in a team
- Experience of working successfully as part of a team
- Working knowledge of legislation relevant to working with young children essential
- Demonstrable understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage essential
