1:1 Teaching Assistant We are looking for dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work closely with a school who supports pupils aged 7-16 with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and a range of learning difficulties.
These pupils will require additional support to access learning, regulate emotions and develop social and communication skills. This is a highly rewarding role where you will have a direct, positive impact on a young person's daily experience in school.
What You'll Be Doing - Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Helping the pupil engage with lessons and personalised learning tasks
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour using trauma informed approaches
- Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
- Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Recent SEN experience, ideally with SEMH, ASC or ADHD
- Strong initiative and the ability to respond calmly to changing needs
- A nurturing, patient and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Availability for full time work only
