EFL Teachers areresponsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessonsfollowing the ANGLO syllabus. ANGLO sessions promote thecommunicative approach with emphasis on speaking and listeningskills. An overview of the role follows:
- Plan and deliverhigh-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLOteenage students
- Work closely withcolleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience
- Embrace thecommunicative approach to language teaching and create anengaging, inclusive learning environment in language lessons,excursion lessons and project lessons.
Your role &responsibilities
- Liaising with theTeaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevantteaching and student matters
- Teaching levels andcourse types as directed by the TM/WTS, planning allclasses sufficiently and marking students' work
- Selecting appropriatesupplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to thestudents' needs and cultural backgrounds
- Completing a weeklyscheme of work
- Completing attendanceregisters accurately and reporting any absence or sickness tothe TM/ATM at the beginning of each lesson
- Being familiar with,and following guidelines outlined in the Teacher Manual
- Attending andparticipating in teacher briefings, meetings and CPD sessionswhen required
- Ensuring students areprepared for presentations, excursions, and culturalvisits
- Responding to anyissues, incidents and/or complaints in an appropriate andtimely manner; ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informedas required
- Exploiting everyopportunity for students to learn English both inside andoutside the classroom
- Creating a positivelearning environment which is well-organised and supports theintroduction of British culture as part of thecurriculum
- Providing studentswith adequate feedback on their work
- Accurately completingthe students' academic reports
- Following ANGLO'ssafeguarding and welfare policies at all times
- Demonstrating a highlevel of professionalism at all times
Requirements
Essential(Please do not apply if you do not meet theserequirements)
- You have the rightto work in the UK
- University degree +TEFLI qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA,Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120 hour TEFL course)
- Dynamic teaching approach
- Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, team player attitude
- Commitment tohigh-quality customer service, displaying a positive "can-do" attitude
- Ability to workunder pressure, strong work ethic and ability toimplement change
- Committed tocontinuing professional development
- Prior experience ofteaching U18s
- Experience ofproject-based courses and/or task-based learning
- Experience ofTrinity GESE exams

Bed & Board:
Residential: Full bed andboard is provided
Hours:
72 hours per 14-nightstudent programme, plus one 6-hour paidinduction and two 1-hour CPD sessions on campus. No overtimepayment unless agreed in advance with Head Office.
On rare occasions wehave to offer 14-night 36 hour programmes, in which case hours andremuneration are halved. We will always let you know if this happens.
