Together creating learning capacity in the classroom
The Education Specialists are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school community, working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND, to start after May half term until the end of the academic year in the first instance with the opportunity to secure a permanent position in September with the school.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood.
- Support pupils in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions.
- Work alongside teachers to remove barriers to learning and increase engagement.
- Encourage resilience and independence.
Requirements
- Calm, patient, and empathetic.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative.
- A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
- Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
