Role Information

You will drive towards excellence in teaching and learning to ensure the centre's sessions are interactive, engaging, and well planned.

Duties Leadership & Management
- Take the lead on all centre administration as per your Operational Excellence Framework (OEF) and manage the following returns:
- Weekly Checks / Returns - ICT, Registers, Bursary, Programme, Asset Returns, TAM, Staff Recruitment, Welfare, Facebook, MD Memo, Quality, FCA System.
Teaching & Learning
- Ensure you and your staff keep up to date with subject knowledge to challenge learners.
- Attend annual industry events such as Reserve Training Camps, Look at Life, Familiarisation with Acquaint Days, and Assessment Centres.
- Promote MPCT/Learning Curve Group values during all lessons.
- Use assessments to inform learners on how to improve their knowledge.
- Check learning effectiveness during lessons and provide timely support for improvement.
- Prepare demanding lessons that enable learners to realise their potential.
- Deliver lessons covering both physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensure resources reflect the diversity of learners' experiences.
- Identify and support learners falling behind to help them catch up.
- Set challenging individual targets for all learners.
- Support development of Maths and English for all learners.
- Track all work experience via the FCA in England.
- Deliver learner induction and interview all potential new recruits.
- Keep MPCT MIS records updated with learner details and tracking of performance, qualifications, attendance, and progress.
- Conduct all progress reviews to support learners' educational development.
- Deliver physical training using the MPCT bib system, extending and challenging learners appropriately.
- Deliver Military Training (MTD) following the military skills portfolios scheme of work.
- Listen to the views of learners and parents to improve teaching and learning.
- Attend regular training on teaching and learning provided by MPCT / Learning Curve Group.
