- Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (pro rata for part time).
- Contract: Permanent Contract.
Role Overview
Full time or part time Science teacher, starting September 2026, to join an experienced, high achieving team. Must have enthusiasm for Science and a commitment to the success of all pupils, with the ability to teach across KS3 & KS4. Experience or newly qualified status suitable.
Responsibilities
- Plan, teach, and assess Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for KS3 and KS4 cohorts.
- Deliver the Collins Scheme of Work for Years 7 & 8 and GCSE programmes for Years 9 11.
- Use a modular approach and work across all specialisms within a single class.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and facilitate assessment at the end of each module.
- Collaborate with the Science Technicians and the wider department to encourage extra curricular activities such as STEM clubs, robotics, and trip experiences.
- Support continual professional development and maintain a culture of observation and constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified teacher with a passion for Science.
- Experience teaching across KS3 & KS4 or new qualified teacher with relevant training.
- Commitment to professional development and the success of all pupils.
- Suitable references, satisfactory DBS check and compliance with Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.
