Job Summary
My client is seeking a suitably qualified and skilled Cyber Security Technician to act as a learning coach and assessor for Apprentices enrolled on the Cyber Security Technician and Technologist apprenticeship standards.
This is a freelance/contract role and could sit alongside existing portfolios of work for other non-conflicting organisations.
You will need to be occupationally qualified in the provision of first-line cyber security support, including the monitoring and detection of potential security threats, escalating as necessary to support secure and uninterrupted business operations through the implementation of cyber security mechanisms and the application of cyber security procedures and controls.
This role is 100% remote, requires no travel, and candidates could live anywhere within the UK.
Candidates with existing teaching and assessing qualifications will be prioritised however, my client understands that they may need to upskill a suitable and willing candidate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver online training, skills coaching and assessments for Apprentices completing the Cyber Security suite of standards
- Maintain occupational currency through CPD activity
- Coordinate and collaborate with other staff members in the design and delivery of assessments and quality checks
Requirements
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Occupationally competent in Cyber Security domain.
- Prior experience in assessing vocational achievement is advantageous.
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with security systems, databases, and organisational software programmes.
- Organisational skills essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
A good freelance/contract rate is on offer with a solid pipeline of work.

Pay: £75,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
