ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.
About the Role:
Student & Library Services provide a modern, comprehensive service in support of teaching, learning and research, blending library services with flexible, innovative approaches to student support.
To further our support for student success and retention, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional to join our Student Advice team in Cambridge.
The Student Advice service focuses on delivering expert knowledge, support and advice to students and staff with a focus on our Academic Regulations. We’re looking for an empathetic and skilled communicator who can absorb complex information and then advise students in a clear and sympathetic manner. You’ll liaise with other University teams to deliver excellent student support, including colleagues in our Faculties and across Student and Library Services.
Educated to degree level, you will have excellent interpersonal skills having worked previously in an advice setting. You’ll also have experience of working with information management systems and the ability to plan and progress work activities.
This role directly contributes to the University’s goals to enhance student retention, achievement, and employability by ensuring that students receive high-quality support and accurate advice when they need it.
