Apprenticeship programme
Our award-winning apprenticeship programme is a brilliant way to start your career in accounting straight from school or college. You’ll gain recognised qualifications, build valuable skills and grow personally and professionally, all while earning a salary.
Why choose an apprenticeship at UNW?
Over three years, you’ll work towards your Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification while gaining first-hand experience from day one.
You’ll benefit from:
- Real experience - From the outset, you’ll be involved in real work with real clients, helping you build confidence and develop skills you’ll use throughout your career.
- Support from our team - You’ll be guided by experienced colleagues and supported by a network of current apprentices who’ve been in your shoes and can help you settle in.
- Learning as you go - Your training will combine on-the-job learning with classroom study as you work towards your qualifications, giving you the best of both worlds.
- No university debt - Instead of paying tuition fees, you’ll earn a salary while gaining qualifications and building your future.
By the end of the programme, you’ll hold AAT Levels 3 and 4 and be in a strong position to move on to a higher-level qualification on the path to becoming a fully-fledged chartered accountant.
Is this right for you?
If you’ve completed your A Levels and want to go straight into a career in accounting without going to university, this could be the perfect next step.
Requirements
To be successful for our apprenticeship programme:
- You’ll either be currently studying for your A Levels with predicted grades of at least three Bs, or have already achieved those grades.
- You’ll also need a minimum grade 6 (B) in both GCSE Maths and English Language.
Applications are now open for apprenticeship roles starting in September 2026 across our Audit and Tax teams.
