Learning & Development Coach – Health & Safety
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Health & Safety Learning & Development Coach to join B‑Skill, a leading national apprenticeship provider. If you love developing people, delivering engaging learning experiences, and helping apprentices reach their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you.
You’ll deliver Health & Safety training alongside wider professional development topics such as leadership, communication, equality & diversity, wellbeing, and employability. You’ll coach apprentices throughout their programme, support them to embed new skills in the workplace, and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
You’ll work closely with learners, employers, and the wider B‑Skill team to ensure high‑quality delivery and excellent learner outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
• Deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment aligned to the relevant Apprenticeship Standards
• Carry out learner inductions, initial assessments and identify support needs
• Review prior learning and create individual learning plans
• Deliver and support Functional Skills in Maths and English
• Plan and deliver high‑quality sessions, resources and schemes of work
• Monitor and evidence Off‑the‑Job Training in line with funding requirements
• Complete regular progress reviews with learners and employers, setting SMART targets
• Manage your caseload effectively to ensure strong retention, progress and timely achievement
• Prepare learners for gateway and End Point Assessment
• Maintain accurate records in line with funding, awarding body and internal quality requirements
• Embed EDI, Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values throughout delivery
• Support learners with e‑portfolio systems and provide high‑quality IAG
• Participate in standardisation, quality assurance activity and Ofsted readiness
• Maintain your own CPD and keep up to date with sector requirements
What we’re looking for – Experience & Knowledge
• Experience delivering Health & Safety training within Work‑Based Learning
• Occupational competence in Health & Safety
• Understanding of Ofsted EIF, Apprenticeship Standards and EPA processes
• Experience using e‑portfolio systems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Well‑organised with excellent time management
• Able to prioritise and work independently
• Positive, flexible and self‑motivated
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
• A1 Assessor Award / TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Level 3+ Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate)
• Experience delivering Level 3 apprenticeships or professional development programmes#
Other requirements
• Eligible to live and work in the UK
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• DBS check required (undertaken on appointment)
