Teaching Assistant - General Level 2
19.5 hours (3 days) per week, 39.2 weeks (Term-time plus Inset Days)
Grade 2 - Pro-rata to £24,796 (Actual Salary from £11,348)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and skilled Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, specialising in Early Years. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest learners in Nursery and Pre-school, guiding them toward a future filled with curiosity and confidence.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years Room Leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Support individuals and groups of children in activities, both inside and outside, under the direction of the Class Teacher.
Work 1:1 with individual children where needed to offer support
Prepare, set-up, manage and clean teaching materials and organise supplies of resources as requested by the Class Teacher.
Support good classroom discipline, reinforcing standards of behaviour and tidiness within the classroom.
Assist with preparation of display boards as well as helping to mount displays of work.
Support new children when they first enter Nursery / Pre-school.
Administer first aid and comfort to sick children appropriately including support for toileting.
Maintain effective, professional relationships with colleagues, children and parents.
Essential
Experience of working as part of a team.
Experience of working with children.
Ability to interact with children and support their involvement in a range of activities.
Enthusiasm for learning and working with children
Ability to communicate effectively with children and colleagues.
Caring, friendly, approachable, open, welcome and personable.
Able to work under direction but use own initiative

Experience of supporting a child 1:1
Paediatric First Aid
Basic Food Hygiene
