Apprenticeship Programme Lead
Location: East Sussex/Kent
Salary: £31,200 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established supported employment charity for an Apprenticeship Programme Lead to oversee and develop a specialist apprenticeship programme supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism.
This is a pivotal role, combining hands-on programme delivery with strategic development, ensuring apprentices are supported into meaningful employment and successfully complete their apprenticeship journeys across East Sussex.
The programme is currently part-funded by the National Lottery, with a clear remit to grow into a financially and operationally sustainable model.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver a supported apprenticeship programme, achieving 24 apprenticeship starts by June 2027
Provide strategic leadership to shape and grow the programme for long-term sustainability
Build strong partnerships with employers, training providers, funders and local stakeholders
Manage and support a small delivery team, including a Team Co-ordinator and Job Coaches
Oversee programme quality, outcomes and reporting
Support employers to meet safeguarding expectations, working closely with internal employer engagement and training leads
Ensure young people receive tailored, high-quality support throughout their apprenticeship journey Working Arrangements
Based primarily at an East Sussex office, with regular travel to employer sites
Services operate across a wide geographical area, so flexibility to travel is essential
Core hours are Monday-Friday, with occasional early morning, evening or weekend work by agreement to meet learner and employer needs What's on Offer

5.6 weeks' annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays, pro rata)
6-month probationary period
