We are currently recruiting for a Skills Bootcamp Performance and Development Coach on an initial 12-month maternity cover contract to join our Marketing and Engagement Team, engaging with employer organisations to secure job vacancies, and working with learners to prepare for, apply for and be successful in achieving a tech or digital role or responsibilities.
PURPOSE:
This position involves supporting employer organisations in developing talent through our “recruit, reskill, and retain” strategies. The role requires engaging with employers and providing learners with coaching and guidance and supporting them into jobs.
Working in the Marketing and Engagement Team, the purpose of this role is to engage with employers and develop the professional performance of a caseload of learners (following TDM’s curriculum intent and approach) towards the achievement of positive job outcomes, ensuring maximum retention, timely completion of programme and whole person development for career success.
This role will also reliably document a learning narrative to ensure compliance, design and deliver training programmes following TDM’s task-based, flipped classroom approaches and methodologies, and demonstrate TDM's values and culture, collaborating with managers and colleagues on the Company's mission and vision.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver against Milestone 1: the number of learners starting on the programme (completing the relevant documentation to evidence this).
- Deliver against Milestone 2: learners completing the programme - ensuring they have achieved and have evidence of the minimum number of guided learning hours for the programme and have attended at least one interview for a real job with an employer.
- Deliver against Milestone 3: learners achieving a positive job-related outcome within six months of completing the programme.
- Deliver against Milestone 4: learners achieving a job outcome which involves commencing on a TDM apprenticeship.
- Be employer responsive – attend relevant employer networking events to support employer engagement and conduct weekly employer outreach activities: connecting with employers via LinkedIn, email and telephone to develop and maintain strong employer relationships to encourage Skills Bootcamp starts with your employer partners.
- Use the GROW coaching approach to assess, teach and align individual learning plans, ensuring learner starting points and aims are realistic and matched to real employer vacancies.
- Ensure learner participation in the programme, delivering and documenting learner-responsive coaching sessions using formative coaching and assessment skills (i.e. GROW) as per curriculum intent and strategy.
- Document the learner journey through consistent activity reporting and accurate use of TDM systems. Maintain the learner’s learning records to ensure accurate reporting of learners' progress and to provide punctual reporting for stakeholders, such as funding authorities.
- Effectively rate learners’ programme progress against the RBSG (red, bronze, silver, gold) criteria (predicting programme success), including putting remedy plans in place to remove barriers to success.
- Develop, document and manage learner action plans to support additional learning needs when barriers to learning and progress are identified.
- Coach learners for performance competence and personal development, helping them to sustain or gain employment in Tech or Digital careers, whilst being a positive member of society.
- Ensure learner retention remains high, and learners achieve timely completion of their programme with the required milestone outcomes.
- Support the VLE team with the development of Bootcamp areas for quality improvement as required and deliver blended learning following TDM’s approach and using TDM platforms: Totara and Mahara in areas of responsibility.
- Engage with and support the compliance, quality and customer experience processes.
- Any other duties as directed by your line manager and/or a director.
- Ensure compliance with all TDM policies, procedures and legal responsibilities, including safeguarding, ISO9001, Confidentiality, Data Protection and Cyber Essentials.
Ideal Candidate:
