Join a leading FE college in North London as a Lecturer in Public Services, delivering educational programs to students aged 16-21. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Uniformed Protective Services or related public sectors, who are passionate about educating the next generation of public service professionals.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Public Services to students at levels 1-3.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards and the needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Participate in faculty and departmental meetings to discuss student progress and curriculum development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
The timetable is available and may vary, typically running from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:30.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in the Uniformed Protective Services (e.g., Emergency Services, Armed Forces, Prison/Probation Service, Coast Guard) or other relevant public sectors (e.g., Government, Politics, Law).
- Qualifications in the above areas at and above level 3.
- Strong commitment to educational excellence and a passion for teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
