Plumbing Lecturer/ Assessor

Salary: up to £26,674
We are seeking a Plumbing Lecturer/ Assessor to join our Further Education team in Walthamstow. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners undertaking plumbing qualifications. This role involves planning and delivering assessments, monitoring learner progress, maintaining learner records, and ensuring compliance with awarding body, ESFA, and Ofsted requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions as part of the plumbing curriculum.
- Assess learners working towards NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualifications) in accordance with awarding body standards.
- Carry out workplace assessments, observations, professional discussions, and portfolio reviews.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to learners to support timely achievement.
- Develop and maintain individual learner assessment plans and targets.
- Ensure assessment practices comply with awarding body and internal quality assurance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualification in Plumbing.
- Experience in delivering and assessing vocational qualifications in Plumbing.
- Familiarity with the standards and requirements of NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide supportive and constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and methodologies.
