The School of Education works closely with partners across the Education sector to produce excellent graduate teachers and impactful research that supports educators in schools and centres. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate NESA‑accredited programs, postgraduate certificates and Master’s programmes, and higher degree research opportunities.
We are seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level
C), Associate Professor (Level
D), or Professor (Level
E) to support our rapidly expanding Master of Education and Educational Leadership programmes in Australia and offshore.
Responsibilities Summary
- Level C (Senior Lecturer) – Deliver high‑quality, inclusive teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, using engaging learning methods and technologies.
- Design and assess learning activities aligned with course and programme outcomes; support students individually and as cohorts.
- Manage course delivery and quality assurance as Course Authority.
- Contribute to curriculum and teaching innovation, and collaborate on internal education initiatives and funding opportunities.
- Build and maintain professional and industry links to enhance teaching, learning and research impact.
- Actively contribute to School and University committees and a collegial, inclusive culture.
- Conduct independent, high‑impact research and build a nationally recognised profile.
- Secure research income from competitive grants or industry sources.
- Supervise HDR students and mentor early‑career colleagues.
- Level D (Associate Professor) – In addition to Level C responsibilities, provide academic and administrative leadership within the School or Faculty; achieve national and emerging international research recognition; recruit, supervise, and mentor HDR students and early‑career academics; lead major research collaborations and knowledge‑exchange initiatives; contribute to translation and commercialisation of research outcomes.
- Level E (Professor) – In addition to Levels C and D responsibilities, lead and inspire a culture of excellence in research and teaching across the School; deliver internationally significant research with strong funding and publication outcomes; lead large‑scale proposals and partnerships that demonstrate research impact; drive strategic engagement with government, industry and community to generate research impact and income.
Skills And Experience Summary
- Level C (Senior Lecturer) – PhD in Education (or related field), with qualifications and experience in educational leadership and teaching.
- Proven commitment to maintaining current knowledge of educational theory, policy and practice.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, using diverse pedagogical approaches and technologies.
- Evidence of effective and engaging teaching, with commitment to innovation and excellence.
- Experience in curriculum development and work‑integrated learning.
- Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Established research record with high‑quality, high‑impact outputs and potential for continued excellence.
- Experience supervising high‑calibre students.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal and organisational skills, with ability to build cross‑disciplinary and professional relationships.
- Capacity to engage with industry and attract funding for teaching and learning initiatives.
