We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Technical Trainer to support a caseload of learners through engaging training programmes. In this role, you’ll design and deliver high-quality learning and assessments, helping participants achieve full Apprenticeship standards and their qualifications. You’ll work closely with employers and play a key role in inspiring learners to overcome challenges and reach their goals. What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Technical Trainer, you will:
- Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete off the job training.
- Develop, deliver and manage units within the Machining BTEC.
- Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
- Assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours, and the delivery and assessment of Apprenticeship Standards and competencies against NVQ programmes where required.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to achieve qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
- Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Level 3 Machining qualification or similar/equivalent – Essential.
- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent – Essential.
- TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards- Desirable.
- Teaching qualification, or willing to work towards – Desirable.
- Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willing to work towards - Desirable.
