About the Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable and people-focused Contractor Training Lead to drive the design and delivery of Langley’s contractor training programmes. You will play a key role in launching our new Liquid Systems Training Package and supporting wider training initiatives that strengthen industry competency and raise standards. Working closely with Sales, Technical, ESG and L&D teams, you’ll ensure training aligns with organisational goals and provides an outstanding experience for approved contractors and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate and deliver contractor training courses (RBM, Liquid Systems) for operatives and Langley staff.
- Provide excellent customer service from skills gap analysis through to delivery, certification and feedback.
- Lead development of the Langley Liquid Systems Training Course, combining product knowledge and accredited content.
- Create lesson plans and deliver blended learning (classroom and practical).
- Work with manufacturers to gain product expertise and translate it into in-house training.
- Support CITB short course reviews and apprenticeship content development.
- Participate in industry groups to ensure training reflects latest standards, legislation and best practice.
- Provide on-site support to assess competence and identify CPD needs.
- Support LMS365 administration, competency matrix updates and training reporting.
- Maintain safe, compliant training environments and conduct risk assessments.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes and evaluate training impact.
- Support the creation of technical content, toolbox talks and training materials.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Roofing qualification or proven competence in RBM and/or liquid waterproofing.
- Level 3 teaching/training qualification (or willingness to achieve).
Desirable:
- Level 3 Assessor Qualification (CAVA/TAQA).
Additional Information
- Based at Langley HQ/Training Centres (4 days per week depending on timetable).
- Travel required for on-site support.
