Responsibilities:
Develop, deliver, and assess high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in digital education and related areas. Conduct independent and collaborative research in digital education, leading to publications in reputable journals and presentations at international conferences. Supervise postgraduate research students (Masters and PhD). Contribute to curriculum development and innovation, with a focus on digital tools and online learning environments. Engage in scholarly activity to maintain and enhance personal and departmental research profiles. Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior staff and students. Contribute to the administrative and strategic management of the School of Education. Explore and implement innovative pedagogical approaches leveraging digital technologies. Foster strong relationships with external partners, including industry, policymakers, and other educational institutions. Undertake teaching and administrative duties as required, contributing to the smooth running of the department. Stay abreast of current research, policy, and practice in digital education and educational technology. Participate in departmental and university committees and working groups. Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Education, Digital Learning, Educational Technology, or a closely related field. A strong record of teaching experience at the university level, with evidence of excellent student feedback. A significant and demonstrable research profile, including peer-reviewed publications and successful grant applications. Expertise in key areas of digital education, such as online learning, blended learning, learning analytics, AI in education, or digital literacies. Experience in curriculum design and development for online and blended delivery. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise postgraduate research. Experience of academic leadership and contributing to departmental management. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technologies.
