Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Educational Technology, Learning Design, and related fields. Develop and deliver engaging course content, including lectures, seminars, and online modules, utilising a variety of digital tools and platforms. Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Conduct independent research in Educational Technology, publishing findings in leading academic journals and presenting at international conferences. Contribute to the strategic development and enhancement of the curriculum within the department, with a focus on emerging technologies in education. Mentor and provide academic guidance to students, fostering their intellectual and professional growth. Engage in service activities within the department and the wider university, such as committee work and curriculum review. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and grant applications. Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in the field of Educational Technology. Contribute to the university's commitment to inclusive and accessible education. Potentially manage or coordinate specific modules or research groups. Qualifications: PhD in Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Computer Science Education, or a related discipline. A strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Demonstrated experience in teaching at university level, with a track record of effective pedagogy. Expertise in at least one key area of Educational Technology, such as learning analytics, online learning environments, digital literacy, or AI in education. Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas) and other educational technologies. Excellent research design, data analysis, and academic writing skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote academic environment.
