This academic leadership role involves delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the strategic development of mathematics education programs.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students on courses related to mathematics curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment. You will engage in scholarly research, publishing your findings in leading academic journals and presenting at international conferences. Developing innovative teaching materials and methodologies, and contributing to the design and review of curriculum frameworks will be integral to your role. You will also play a vital part in mentoring junior academic staff and fostering a collaborative research environment.
This position requires a deep and current understanding of national and international mathematics education policies, research trends, and effective teaching practices. You should possess a proven ability to secure research funding and lead research projects. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver inspirational teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Mathematics Education.Conduct high-quality research, leading to publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.Develop and implement innovative curricula and pedagogical approaches for mathematics teaching.Secure external research grants and manage research projects effectively.Contribute to the development and strategic direction of the Faculty of Education.Mentor and support junior academic staff and doctoral students.Engage in academic leadership and contribute to university-wide initiatives.Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with schools and educational institutions.Promote best practices in mathematics education and contribute to professional development initiatives.Undertake administrative duties as required by the Faculty.Qualifications and Experience:
