Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and informative lectures and seminars on a range of Educational Psychology topics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Develop and revise curriculum content to reflect current research and best practices in the field. Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses. Conduct high-quality, impactful research in Educational Psychology, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Secure external funding for research projects. Contribute to the academic administration of the department, including admissions, examination, and committee work. Mentor and support students, providing academic guidance and pastoral care. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and teaching modules. Engage in scholarly activity, attending and presenting at academic conferences. Contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning within the faculty. Potentially contribute to outreach activities and partnerships with schools and educational organizations. Undertake administrative duties as required by the Head of Department.
Qualifications: PhD in Educational Psychology or a closely related field. A strong track record of successful teaching experience at university level, with evidence of excellent student feedback. A significant and active research profile, with a history of publications in reputable journals and a clear research agenda. Experience in supervising postgraduate research students. Demonstrable ability to attract research funding. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Broad knowledge of current theories and research methodologies in Educational Psychology. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
