What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to support learner progress.
- Deliver and assess GCSE and Functional Skills English from entry level to level 2.
- Provide pastoral support and contribute to the tutorial programme.
- Maintain accurate records and support internal verification processes.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety across all activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, team meetings, and college-wide events.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified teachers with a relevant degree or equivalent.GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.Relevant experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English from entry level to level 2, and experience delivering exam-based qualifications.Experience providing pastoral support (personal tutor, wellbeing support), desirable.
