Job description
Based at: Civic Centre, Waterdale, Doncaster
Salary details: Grade 8, £33,708 - £37,399
Contract Type: Fixed Term to 30th October 2028 (with potential extension for a further 2 years)
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

As an Ambitions Coach, you’ll be part of a passionate and collaborative team that works together to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. You’ll work alongside colleagues, employers, and community partners to help adults with a learning disability and/or who are neurodiverse move towards and into paid employment. Together, we follow the 5-stage Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) to ensure every candidate’s journey is structured, strengths-based, and tailored to their individual aspirations.

Essential Requirements for the role: Experience working with vulnerable adults, in with learning disabilities, learning difficulties, neurodiversity, or other barriers to employment.
Understanding of the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) or willingness to undertake training in the 5-stage model.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with candidates, families, and employers.
Ability to manage a caseload, plan and deliver regular coaching sessions, and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of employability skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, and job searching strategies.
Experience or confidence in providing job coaching in real workplace settings to support candidates in becoming independent.
Team working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across services and contribute to shared planning and outcomes.
Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to promoting independence and wellbeing through employment.
IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office and digital tools for communication and record-keeping.
Flexibility to travel across Doncaster to meet candidates and employers in community and workplace settings.
