At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute as part of a dynamic team of staff delivering to a growing number of Further Education students across a range of conservation and wildlife courses within the Further Education Conservation department. Within this varied role, you will be required to teach theory and practical sessions to students aged 16+, you will also support all learners in the development of not only curriculum knowledge but wider skills which aid them in becoming employable. This role is full-time subject to a successful probation period.
Ideally, you will have in-depth knowledge that can be applied across various aspects of conservation and wildlife, this could include ecology, habitat management for a range of habitats such as woodland, grassland, and aquatics (this is not an exhaustive list of subjects, and the candidate should review the website for additional subject information). It would be of an advantage if you have experience within a similar role previously, or in industry with up-to-date technical knowledge.
To be successful in your application, you will have experience of lecturing and be in possession of level 2 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, two A levels or vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
