Are you a multi-skilled tradesperson with a passion for mentoring and developing others? We are looking for a Property Maintenance / Multi Skills Trainer Coach to join our apprenticeship delivery team in Romford. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of the property maintenance industry by supporting apprentices to gain practical skills and recognised qualifications.
About the Role:
As a Trainer Coach, you will deliver high-quality teaching, coaching, and assessment to apprentices working towards the Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard. You’ll work closely with learners and employers to ensure training is relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry expectations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and is confident across a range of trades including:
- Carpentry
- Painting & Decorating
- Plastering
- Basic Electrical
- Basic Plumbing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions both in the classroom and on-site.
- Assess apprentices’ practical and theoretical knowledge against apprenticeship standards.
- Support learners through regular progress reviews and workplace visits.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help apprentices achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with employers to tailor training to business needs.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
- Stay current with industry trends and apprenticeship frameworks.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Industry experience in property maintenance, building services, or related trades.
- Relevant trade qualifications.
- Experience in coaching or training others in a professional setting.
- Willingness to undertake an assessing qualification if not already held.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, CertEd).
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards and Ofsted requirements.
