About the role
As a Lecturer (Teaching) in Clinical Skills, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based education for undergraduate medical students. Working within the Clinical and Professional Skills Centre, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of clinical and professional skills sessions, preparing students for both clinical placements and formal assessments.
Key responsibilities include coordinating clinical examinations, overseeing teaching resources and facilities (both on-site and online), and supporting administrative processes to ensure smooth programme delivery.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in research, audit, or postgraduate education within the health professions - helping to drive continuous educational development.
We foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, united by a commitment to delivering an exceptional learning experience.
Appointment details:
- The post is grade 8, the annual salary for which ranges from £54,931 to £62,903 (including London Allowance).

About you
You are a Registered Nurse or Midwife, educated to degree level, with a solid foundation in clinical practice and a genuine interest in education. You bring comprehensive clinical knowledge and are confident in delivering a wide range of clinical procedures.
You have substantial experience working in acute healthcare settings and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You value clear communication, adaptability, and continuous learning.
Ideally, you hold a teaching qualification (such as a PGCE or equivalent), or you’re enthusiastic about pursuing one as part of your professional development.
This role offers more than teaching - it’s an opportunity to contribute to the future of medical education and support the growth of tomorrow’s clinicians. If you're motivated to share your expertise in a meaningful way, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
