About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and strategically minded
Interim Finance & MIS Consultant to join our senior leadership team on a temporary basis. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving the financial health and operational excellence of the College. You will provide strategic oversight of financial management, corporate systems, and our Management Information Systems (MIS)/exams function, playing a crucial role in supporting the College's long-term sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of financial performance and cash flow to inform executive decisions and maintain financial stability.
- Oversee the full cycle of financial planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic priorities and objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements, and accounting standards, while upholding principles of transparency and accountability.
- Drive operational excellence by designing and implementing corporate systems and processes that improve efficiency, quality, and internal controls.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Management Information Systems (MIS)/Exams function to ensure robust, accurate, and timely data reporting and business intelligence.
Requirements:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and substantial experience in senior financial leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
- Strong knowledge of public sector financial regulations and funding models (ideally within the education or further education sector).
- Proven experience in corporate systems implementation, change management, and business process improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A strategic thinker with a data-informed mindset, capable of leveraging MIS to support performance management and institutional planning.
