We are now seeking a Functional Skills & Learner Support Tutor to join our dynamic and supportive team, playing a crucial role in helping apprentices develop essential English and/or Maths skills, progress confidently, and successfully complete their apprenticeships.

This is a mainly remote role with some National travel required when needed. This is a Bank role.

About the role

As a Learning Support Tutor, you will deliver impactful, engaging English and/or Maths Functional Skills sessions from Entry Level 3 to Level 2, supporting a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND. You will combine group teaching with 1:1 learning support and will create inclusive learning plans tailored to individual needs.

Your work will directly contribute to learner achievement, ensuring progress is accurately monitored and recorded in line with apprenticeship funding rules.

This is a mainly remote role which helps to promote a healthy work life balance. Your base location when you are required to be on site will be our Head Office in Runcorn or will be aligned to a service that is nearest to your home. You will be expected to travel across to national services when necessary.

About You:

To be eligible for this role you will meet the following essential criteria:

Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
A recognised teaching or training qualification at Level 3 or above.
Experience delivering Functional Skills and supporting learners with SEND.
Assessor qualification: A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32/D33.
Strong administration, IT, and organisational skills; confident using digital learning platforms.
Enthusiasm, commitment, and a strong drive to support learners to succeed.
Right to live and work in the UK.
Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, and inclusive learning practices.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting apprentices with identified additional learning needs, creating and reviewing support plans that reflect their individual learning strategies.
