Job Title: Aspire 2Be Employability Coach - Digital Skills Bootcamps

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Band B £26,000.00 - £33,000.00 per annum

The Employability Coach will play a vital role in ensuring learners not only complete the Bootcamp successfully but also transition into meaningful employment or career advancement. You will provide tailored careers information, advice and guidance (CIAG), helping learners identify their strengths, build confidence, and take practical steps toward achieving their career goals in the digital sector.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in employability support, particularly within the context of Digital Skills Bootcamps or similar adult learning programmes in England.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Learner Support and Guidance
● Deliver one-to-one and group-based employability coaching sessions to support learners throughout the Bootcamp.
● Provide high-quality, impartial careers information, advice and guidance (CIAG) tailored to individual learner needs and aspirations.
● Help learners identify career pathways in digital and tech sectors, including progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further training.
Career Development Planning
● Support learners in developing personalised career action plans, CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation strategies.
● Facilitate workshops on job search techniques, digital portfolios, and professional networking.
● Encourage learners to reflect on their learning and articulate their new skills and competencies to potential employers.
Employer Engagement & Progression
● Work closely with the employer engagement team to align learner aspirations with available job opportunities.
● Support learners in preparing for employer interviews, assessments, and onboarding processes.
● Track learner progression outcomes and provide follow-up support where needed.
Monitoring & Reporting
● Maintain accurate records of learner interactions, action plans, and progression outcomes.
● Contribute to programme reporting requirements, including DfE and Combined Authority metrics.
● Use learner feedback and data to continuously improve the employability support offer.

Essential Criteria
● Proven experience delivering employability support within Digital Skills Bootcamps or similar adult learning programmes in England.
● Strong understanding of the digital and tech employment landscape, including roles in:
o Software development
o Data analytics
o Cybersecurity
o Cloud computing
o Digital marketing
● Experience supporting learners aiming to advance into technical digital roles.
● Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse learners.
● Knowledge of CIAG frameworks and best practices.
● Strong organisational and administrative skills, including use of CRM or learner management systems.
● Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
● Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Highly organised and punctual
● Full driving licence
Desirable Criteria
● Level 4 or above qualification in Careers Guidance, Coaching, or a related field (e.g., Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development).
● Experience working with employers to support learner progression.
● Familiarity with DfE-funded programme requirements and compliance.
● Understanding of digital inclusion and barriers to employment.
