Birmingham City University is a vibrant and ambitious institution with a strong reputation in the field of Business and Management. This role sits in the Department of Management, Business and Marketing, as one of two departments within the Business School. As a full-service Business School, it is home to innovative and applied teaching, impactful research, and strong professional partnerships.
We offer several programmes, such as the BA Human Resource Management. We also deliver a vibrant postgraduate portfolio, notably MA International Human Resource Management. The successful candidate will be able to use their understanding of HRM — as a practitioner or scholar — to enhance the learner experience.
The ideal candidate will either:
- Have achieved a CIPD level 7 advanced diploma, a Master’s degree, and have significant and relevant industry experience in the field of HRM, or
- Possess, or be nearing completion of, a PhD in HRM;
In addition, we would expect the successful candidate to:
- Have experience in teaching, ideally in HE;
- Be engaged in research, knowledge exchange, or professional practice to a level commensurate with teaching aspiring HRM professionals at level 7.
