The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.
An exciting new role has been created which will work alongside an existing team of Progression Coaches in Liverpool and our Intensive Support and Outreach services in Halton. The role involves facilitating safe, supportive, person-centred learning and development opportunities which will empower people experiencing multiple disadvantage and social exclusion to make positive changes in their lives.
Carrying a small caseload, you will work closely with Outreach, Intensive Support and Treatment Workers to deliver and broker learning and development activities and support services which help people connect with the wider community and make the transition out of homelessness services.
Well-organised, and with the energy and commitment to make a real difference, you will have a keen understanding of the needs of people with complex needs in relation to learning and enablement activities along with practical experience of designing and delivering group learning sessions.
We are particularly interested to receive applications from people with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance misuse
Although primarily a Monday to Friday service, you will need to have the flexibility to work at weekends and outside of normal office hours by arrangement.
Funding for this service is to 31 March 2027 in the first instance.
Car use is not essential, but the job holder must be able to travel flexibly across Halton.
Please note: we do not accept CVs without an accompanying application form. You can request an application pack via HumanResources@Whitechapelcentre.co.uk or by ringing 207 7617. Packs can also be downloaded from our website at www.whitechapelcentre.co.uk.
