Job Title: Specialist Tutors

Salary: £25-£35 p/h
Do you have experience working on a 1-1 basis? Are you looking to try something new?
TeacherActive are looking for enthusiastic and professional Tutors to support Primary and Secondary age pupils across St Helens with their education. We work with Local Authorities supporting their outreach programmes, offering bespoke education packages to pupils who are currently unable to attend school.
We work with a wide range of students who have diverse needs including SEND, Medical Needs, and those living in looked after environments. Tutors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or readjusting to mainstream education. We are currently seeking tutors for home tuition, focusing on delivering core skills in English, Maths, and behaviour support.
You will be able to work full time or part time depending on your personal preference of working hours.
As a Tutor, you will require the following:
1. Excellent communication skills
2. At least 6 months experience within an educational environment
3. Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis
4. A passion for making a difference to young people's learning
5. Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
6. Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEND
