Flourish Education is recruiting a passionate Geography Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in a well-regarded Secondary School in Hollywood, Worcestershire, starting after Easter. This role offers the opportunity to take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning lessons, assessing pupils, and contributing fully to the school community, with the potential to move into a permanent role.
Job Role
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Teach a broad curriculum, including physical and human geography, fieldwork skills, and environmental topics
- Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour management and implement school policies
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Required Skills and Experience
- Geography Teacher, Humanities Teacher, Secondary Geography Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Excellent subject knowledge and confident delivery across KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
- Organised, reliable, and committed to pupil progress
