About the Role
Are you looking to join a school with a family feel and dedicated and enthusiastic team? Buckingham Park Primary are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team where learning together and learning for life are integral to our ethos.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a patient and encouraging approach
- Has a passion for supporting teaching and learning

- Is enthusiastic with a caring attitude
- Is keen to work as part of a team, is very flexible and has experience of working with primary school age children
- Is prepared to attend to pupils' personal needs including First Aid matters
- Is discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Is prepared to carry out lunchtime supervision when children play and eat their lunch
- Is prepared to support children with Special Educational Needs in small groups and /or in 1:1 situations
Candidates should ideally have a qualification for Teaching/Support Assistant and possess GCSE/'O' Level in Mathematics and English, as well as being able to relate well to children. First Aid training would be desirable but not essential as training may be given.

The post is a temporary position initially, up to July 2027 with a possibility to extend.
Job Details
Learning Support Assistants x 3 - Fixed Term
Grade 4 Point 5-6: £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata per annum. £13.26-£13.47 per hour
Salary: £24,796 per annum - pro rated
Contract Type: Fixed Term until July 2027
Working Pattern: 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Monday to Friday, including midday meals supervision, Term time only
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea
