About the Role
EKC Broadstairs College is seeking two enthusiastic Maths Lecturers to inspire learners, unlock potential and show students how Maths can transform their futures. As a Lecturer of Maths, you'll help students build confidence, solve problems and prepare for the future through teaching, training and assessing learners across a variety of environments.
You'll support learners to achieve their maximum potential, guiding them through every step of the learning pathway while leading designated study programmes and courses. From planning and delivering engaging lessons to evaluating outcomes, you'll play a key role in ensuring every element of the programme adds up to success.
We pride ourselves on supporting those new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy and digital skills support. If you do not have any teaching experience or formal teacher qualifications but have a passion for sharing your knowledge, you may still be considered.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners.
- Teach across Level 1 and 2 GCSE and Functional Skills programmes.
- Assess learners, track progress and provide targeted support and interventions.
- Lead designated study programmes and courses, ensuring high quality learning experiences.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Highly organised, creative educator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive, empathetic approach and confidence to manage a classroom effectively.
- Experience in teaching or workplace training is advantageous but not essential.
- Full training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Salary
Two salary scale points for Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale after one full academic year of teaching for the group is complete. Lecturers must be in post by 1st September to qualify, subject to approval. Internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, subject to clarification.
