Cable Jointing Trainer – Open to applications from candidates moving from Industry into a Training role!

V Selective are working with a global training provider who offer a wide portfolio of safety, skills and technical training courses. They employ instructors who are true industry experts, with real-world knowledge, to ensure an exceptional training experience to learners.
We are looking for experienced Cable Jointing Professionals, who want to come off the tools and pass on their industry knowledge.
You will ideally come from an electricity distribution, transmission or cable jointing background and possess strong practical knowledge of LV jointing activities. You bring your experience, and you will be trained to become a Trainer!
In this role you will be involved in the design and deliver high quality training packages to the electricity industry as well as facilitate construction and utility based occupational qualifications. The main subject area will include LV and 11kv cable jointing, support delivery of technical certificate in power engineering, and deliver compliance training related to distribution work activities.
The role will be mainly based in Manchester, with some travel to other sites including overnight stays when required.
THE ROLE:
- Deliver training across LV and 11kV cable jointing
- Support technical certificates within power engineering
- Assess learners against NVQ, Diploma and End Point Assessment standards
- Design and develop training materials and packages
- Deliver compliance and safety training related to distribution activities
- Support learners throughout their training journey
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Background in electricity distribution, transmission or cable jointing
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within cable jointing
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject
- Hold or have previously held LV Jointing authorisation
- Strong practical and technical knowledge
- Full UK Driving License
- Good communication and organisational skills with a desire to move into a training role.
