Job Description
Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across Level 1-3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating programmes, supporting student progression into employment or further study. Work closely with curriculum, pastoral and student support teams to create a positive learning environment, maintain accurate records, and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well planned, engaging, high quality teaching and assessment across Plumbing & Domestic Heating programmes.
- Develop and deliver sequenced schemes of work and lesson plans that support sustained learner progress.
- Assess, mark and provide clear, constructive feedback in line with awarding body and College standards.
- Use initial and ongoing assessment to plan effectively and meet individual learner needs.
- Maintain accurate records, including registers, mark books and progress tracking systems.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, including course reviews and self assessment.
- Use digital technologies and the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to enhance learning.
- Promote positive behaviour, attendance and punctuality, working with support services where required.
- Engage with employers and external partners to enrich curriculum delivery and student experience.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing and Domestic Heating.
- Strong industry experience and up to date knowledge of sector developments.
- Ability to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
