Description
We are seeking a Lecturer in Computer Science to enhance and strengthen research and teaching capacities in the areas of software engineering, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence. The role focuses on experiential learning, industry engagement and the delivery of innovative teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate students in software engineering, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence.
- Engage in student recruitment activities to inspire and attract new students to the program.
- Develop and lead research projects that have meaningful impact, collaborating with academics and industry partners nationally and internationally.
- Report to the school leadership team and work with staff across the university.
- Make use of SECaM facilities such as specialized laboratories, high-performance computing infrastructure and server resources.
- Support the university's commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in all teaching, research, and recruitment activities.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for experiential and inspirational teaching informed by research and/or industrial experience.
- Track record of engaging with industry partners to develop impactful research, or a clear plan to build such engagement.
- Track record of attracting research funding, or a strategy for doing so.
- Will be required to obtain an ATAS Certificate prior to commencing research, if applicable.
