Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) - Hounslow, West London
Salary: £100-£101.10 per day Full time Start September 2026 Long term opportunity. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
The school is a highly successful and ambitious primary school located in Hounslow, seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join its team from September 2026. This role offers excellent experience within a supportive and forward thinking school environment.
Role
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to accelerate progress.
- Help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
- Support literacy, numeracy and communication skills across the curriculum.
- Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
- Support classroom routines, learning activities and educational visits where required.
Successful Candidate Must
- Have a genuine passion for working with children.
- Be positive, enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupil success.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). Previous experience working with primary aged children is desirable but not essential.
