ARP Teaching Assistant Temporary Position September Start Milk Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate ARP Teaching Assistant to join Grinling Gibbons Primary School from September on a temporary basis.
This ARP Teaching Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The successful ARP Teaching Assistant will work within the school's Additional Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and helping them to access learning in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities - Supporting pupils within the ARP on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
- Supporting pupils' communication, social, emotional, and academic development
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to meet individual needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Helping to create a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Assisting with personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate Will - Have previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally within an ARP or specialist setting
- Be patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential
- Have knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs (desirable)
- Hold relevant education, childcare, or SEND qualifications (desirable)
