Job description
School of Nursing and Allied Health
This role involves teaching as part of the teaching team within an establishedprogramme for Adult Nursing, supporting simulated learning practice and academic modules. The lecturer will be responsible for teaching, quality assurance compliance, partnership working, student support, curriculum planning, design, and leadership of teaching. Some research activity across all courses may be undertaken.
Responsibilities
- Teach modules and develop teaching materials for Adult Nursing programmes.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with academic standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to support student learning.
- Engage in curriculum planning, design and delivery.
- Contribute to research activities across courses where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Registered Adult Nurse, NMC registered in good standing.
- Demonstrable contemporary clinical knowledge applicable to Nursing Adults across various care settings.
- HE teaching qualification (Associate Fellow or Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) OR willingness to undertake PGC in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
- Evidence of teaching, learning and assessment delivery.
- Motivated, proactive and able to work collaboratively within a small academic team.
