1:1 Tutor - Wellingborough Area

Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas (NN8 & NN10)

Hours: Flexible - During School Hours

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Wellingborough area.

Working in partnership with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a range of settings, including:

Pupils' homes
School settings
Local libraries

This role is ideal for qualified educators who are passionate about helping secondary-aged pupils overcome barriers to learning, improve attainment, and regain confidence in their education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, personalised 1:1 tuition sessions for secondary-aged pupils.
Support learners across core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and ability levels.
Plan engaging sessions that promote progress and engagement.
Track, assess, and report on pupil progress.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
Follow all safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK secondary schools.
Strong understanding of the UK Secondary National Curriculum.
Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of abilities.
Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to travel across Wellingborough and surrounding areas.

Desirable Experience

Previous tutoring experience.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those in alternative provision.
Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach learners.
Ability to teach multiple subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4.
