The children, governors and staff of Kirkby and Great Broughton School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development across all Key Stages. Depending on experience and qualifications, you may be appointed as a General Teaching Assistant, Advanced Teaching Assistant (ATA), or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and colleagues to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Flexibility and the ability to work across all Key Stages are essential.
- Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and age groups
- Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and achievement
- Contribute to planning and the delivery of engaging learning activities
- Support pupils with a range of needs to access the curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- HLTA status or a willingness to work towards this qualification
- Experience of working in an educational setting (desirable)
- The ability to work effectively across all Key Stages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
